Ep13 - Final 5 have a day at the beach (house)

He has to choose which 4 families he wants to meet. But don’t worry Sam its been harder for Nina than for Lana. She knows your pain.

It’s been announced that the next 2 days they all get to spend time with Sam in another beautiful house. Oh no I’m worried for Lana. Nina and Lana, Snez and Lana – nobody likes Lana, even level headed Sarah and Heather have started talking about her.

Guess what, we get to see him pick her first for some time out. I wonder if that is the order it happened.

Anyway he tells us that he’s typically attracted to women more intelligent than he, that’s good coz she is. And that she is a great blend of fun and intelligence.

I’m not sure she’s attracted to me – he needs some validation. Smooth he pays her the compliment of ‘Why are you still single?”. She doesn’t really answer the question, a friend of mine thinks she’s a bit fake, I think she’s prepared to compromise. She then tells him there was initial attraction when she first met him on the 1st date she enjoyed the butterflies. “Yes I would want to date you.”

He states that they wouldn’t run out of things to talk about. Then can be themselves. Then he tells her that spending time with her would make him a better person. Now that’s a good line – because he genuinely believes it.

They share a pretty good kiss with tongues.

A walk in the rain with Snez doesn’t reveal much new apart from the family culture, but the ‘enormity’ of the situation really hits him when she shares photos of her daughter – does anybody else think it odd that they shared the images? Maybe she’s going to be on the show – a ha so he picks Snez to meet her family. Anyway, im not sure he will be ready to take on a 9 year old.

Time with Heather at a teppenyaki restaurant goes well, she does tell him she terrified of him meeting her family. He’s not afraid of going through the process and that he’s there for the girl not just the family. She tells him that she genuinely knows there is something there between them. However Sam then shares with the camera that he’s not sure about the friendship zone with Heather. I don’t think he actually raises it with her, and she doesn’t initiate a romantic encounter. Oh Oh.

Heather shares with the camera that Lana has definitely not stolen Sam’s heart (ie he’s not still available to invest with the others), she knows when he’s with her it’s not true (that he’s stolen).

Sarah very wisely states to the camera that he’s saying amazing things to them individually who knows what he’s saying to the others. You’re a wise women Sarah. She doesn’t like talking about her feelings. He’s also shares that he won’t be able to get to know Sarah if she holds back.

When they spend time together he tried to get her to open up but you can see her body is resisting, with the blushing. When she gets personal the blush moves onto her face. This is something noteworthy boys, it’s neither a good or bad sign. Just she’s uncomfortable. She doesn’t open up to him fully though, or that we see on the camera. “He tries to tell him what she’s feeling with a look as she’s not good with her words yet.” But she does tell him she can see her life with him but stumbles a little. His facial expression seems to say that he doesn’t take it that well? Their kiss is not that passionate. But she tells the camera that she has told him all that she needs to. Time will tell if that’s enough.

Next he tells us that he is chalk and cheese from Nina and tell her he’s never had a girlfriend like her. He looks serious on their finishing date and whilst he’s asking her if there are some quiet times, she says there are but doesn’t demonstrate it to him, I’m not sure there is enough there, he looks troubled when talking to her.

At the cocktail party Sam declares at the start that he’s going to let them ask him for time. Heather passes on the chance saying she’s comfortable and if others needs it she’s ok. Lana grabs his hand which the others aren’t impressed with. Then whilst she’s out of the room Snez very wisely says that maybe this is a test form Sam to see who is really keen on him, giving them an opportunity to reassure him. Oh no, they all realise this could be true and Sarah changes her mind. Snez has some time and then when he returns he’s says he’s ready to head off. Oh no, too late! It’s the most tense ceremony.

Lana first, Snezana, Sarah, Heather, Nina is excused.

I wonder if this order says anything, or if Heather going last is because she stated she was OK so he used that.

So finally the nicest girls are confirmed for Home Visits. Yikes, the trailers looks intense, who is that young punk grabbing his moment of glory on camera?

We know that home town visits can break relationships from previous seasons.

My prediction is not very clear cut. I actually wonder if he’s ready to choose any yet.

Lana is now my front runner. I’m not seeing any downsides yet.

Heather he’s worried about the friendship zone, I’m starting to see it too.

Snez – I’m not sure about the family situation but he REALLY likes her.

Sarah – perhaps the age gap is starting to show from an emotionally intelligent sense.
