And so the weekly chaos begins, I actually loose sleep after watching these ladies in action. This week Emily start us off with “It can’t be (this week’s single date) with Nina – none of us friggin like Nina. Right O, None of you like her.
The clue in the golden envelope is “Lets blow it all sky high”. Heather would like it to involve rockets, monkey and a circus – way to think out of the box. And the lucky girl is…. Drum roll please…… Bec! Huh what! Really? With so limited time (as Cosshy – or how ever you spell it – likes to remind them), Sam has difficult choices to make – id have thought he would be working out which from Sarah, Snez or Heather he wants to spend the rest of his life with. Oh that’s right, he’s on a reality show and probably doesn’t have the real choice.
Sam explains that the only real time he’s had with Bec was on the groundhog date - which she felt humiliated on - get over it already girlfriend – so Sam is looking forward for a chance to move on from it. Good on ya Sammy.
He arrives in a helicopter arrival – that is seriously cool and maybe a little over the top but hey, it’s tough having to kiss all those girls so he may as well have some great times too!
The destination is a surprise as he thinks she’s up for an adventure and a challenge. He’s been put everything he knows about her into this date. Again I wonder if that’s true or whether he’s told what the sponsored activity is and he picks which girl he thinks would be best for it. Id love to know the real answers to these things!
So it’s the very cool iFly Downunder; indoor skydiving!! How fun (gawd imagine Emily on this hahahahah!) They get suited up and apparently she picks it up really quickly. Bec is worried about Sam as he’s afraid of heights. He seriously looked like he loved it.
Then the 2 of them have a go at trying to link with the instructors pushing them around – it was pretty funny. Sam’s not sure if there is a spark yet as its all fun, well yeah.
At the house, Ebru and Emily think Bec will come back with a rose. Although the 3 of them are besties, so of course they do.
The comments that Snez and Nina will be all over her when she returns – uh yeah coz they’re besties. Being 2 faced is the worst quality anybody can have according to Emily…
Back to the flying skunks and Sam advises us that as time is so short he’s keen for (serious) conversation and chemistry to always moving forward. Bec does a card game – don’t know why, some sort of sick kiss and tell thing. He has to share what’s been his worst date. Then its her turn to bring up her hurt from the groundhog day again. Me thinks this is a bad move. Lets see shall we?
For Sam it changed his mindset with Bec having the bad experience. He wonders if they going to get through the barriers (she’s put up) with the limited time they have.
He tells her she’s a fun girl but it would take a long time to develop into a romantic relationship. He can’t see himself falling in love with her, and upfront seems like appropriate time to tell her. Absolutely. Good move Sammy.
As he knows it now he thinks its better not to leave her hanging at the rose ceremony. So they say their good byes. Wow if only all first date break ups were that easy.
Awesome Sam states again that he wants to fall in love with girl of his dreams, to spend the rest of his life with. He realizes the ground hog day impacted their connection. I think its for the best mate.
Sam comes back to the house to personally let the girls know that Bec has left. He had to ask himself if there was a romantic connection. He tells them they had a fantastic day but the connection just isn’t there.
He parts with thank you for bearing with me whilst I find out where my heart truly lies.
Emily cries into Ebru’s(I think) shoulder.
Onto the next scene, with Sam providing the voice over. I want a girl that is comfortable in her own skin, doing normal things like breakfast in PJ’s on a Sunday morning. It’s not just about cocktail dresses and tuxedoes, he states. Glad you can see straight Sammy.
He does a head count of his harem and has to holler up the stairs to entice Emily either out of bed or the bathroom. Lol she isn’t a morning person and quotes “I didn’t enjoy being woken up early”.
Friggin funny that when she does come down she announces that she was up late last night dying her hair and that she has dye marks on her head. Seriously he probably wouldn’t have noticed, but he did notice the scarf you wore. I noticed the hair band mark coz obviously you couldn’t possibly wear your hair up around him.
Sarah and Heather are chirpier and flirt with him making mancakes for breckie. He says that with just 6 girls left he could be having breakfast with the 1 that he could spend the rest of his life with. Sweet. Do all men think like this I wonder. I hope so.
Emily tells us that after he departs Nina grabs the date card – again (perhaps she just finds them first), they’re hoping it’s Ebru. The clue this time is “Across the water, fruit of the vine.”
Its not Ebru but Sarah’s turn for a 2nd date. (Snez had one last week – so im guessing Heather next time). He says it’s time to see if the connection is still there with Sarah and check if there could be a future.
Sam wants to reconnect and brings her to the Bach pad via water taxi – what the extravagant dates for the ones that he’s testing. Anyway he’s found out (really I’m thinking the researchers told you) that she loves wines and he does a blind taste test on her – which she aced
Sam asks her “Have you pictured us together?”
“Yes I’ve pictured you with my dad”.
He tells the camera that when he thinks about her being in his life, it would be easy for their 2 lives to combine. “What we have is a relationship. She is definitely one of the girls I’ve connected with the best, and its important for me to let her know that”. Kisses her on the cheek.
Towards the end of the date the tension before ‘the kiss’ is palpable, it didn’t’ feel right on the first date but it felt right to kiss her then”. The have a decent pash and im guessing as the cameras pull back that tongues were involved – woo hoo. Go Sazza!
Back at the house the ‘healthy debate continues with Emily and Ebru’
“Heather I don’t understand their relationship.
Snez don’t see it working as she has a daughter.
Nina I thought would go in first 2 weeks”.
She goes on to say – or perhaps its from previous weeks but their airing it now. “Sam and I get on really well, I’m definitely going to be in top 2”. Oookkkaaayyy, We are all thinking NOT; Ems.
He arrives at the cocktail party, and seems to greet Heather First. He’s looking forward to quality time with the girls, its much easier with less girls to entertain.
But Ohoh Oosher pulls him outside and tells him there are 2 new women for him to meet. Poor Sam, totally lynched.
He quickly gathers himself and pep talks himself to keep an open mind and see what happens.
We meet Lana wearing a black dress, who declares herself as a go-getter, spontaneous and happy. I’ll say there is a pretty great connection, she is giggling about his golf swing. He share’s with her that is a sucker for pretty eyes. They part with him saying that are going to have a lot more to talk about. Oh dear, there is definitely going to be a cat amongst the pigeons.
She joins the girls and when she mentions the golfing, Emily and Ebru have a giggle about Sam hating golf. Now serious ‘ladies’ there is no other way to say this, but your behavior is outright rude; there was no editing or making up by the producers, you shared a private giggle at another’s expense. Not cool.
Blond Rachael then turns up in white from Brisbane and is a food blogger. Personally when we see her introduction video, I can’t see him clicking with her. He tells her he had a boyhood crush on Claudia Sheiffer though.
Sam is happy that the new girls are here; Heather described her announcement as a white ‘orb’. I assume that was a compliment?
Emily comments that she doesn’t think the intruders will last long as the concept is bullshit and there isn’t enough time for them to form a connection with him.
He states that there is a connection with Lana and he’s excited to see where it leads.
Emily has a bitch complaint about Nina being a bit rough for him and that he would go for a ‘classier’ girl in front of Lana. Then goes to have 1:1 time with Sam.
She tells him that she doesn’t look at anybody as a threat, as she only wants somebody that wants her whole heartedly. That’s the smartest thing she’s said… like EVER.
She then asks him how he sees her. “I see you as a slow burner, I feel like our relationship from the start has taken a little while to get going…” She then interrupts him. He continues that he doesn’t see her as a ‘goof’. You’re more glitz and glamour than the girl I would typically go for. He handles her really well. Go Sam, speak your truth and be authentic. “I can’t work you out”. Baboom!!
She replies with a pout and a “You either like me or you don’t”.
Then he adds “I think you’re more highly strung, that you think you are”. Holy moly I’m proud of you little brother!! You totally read her correct and aren’t afraid to tell her. She is actually stunned, “nobody has ever said that to me.” No I’m sure they haven’t darling – that’s why you’re single.
Through a very fidgity rose ceremony, I don’t know why doesn’t she just leave at the start of the ceremony and save the agony for others.
Sarah has a rose and they are confirmed in this order.
Lana
Heather – Emily rolls here eyes (she don’t know why he’s picking people that she can’t see him with). Just stop talking to the camera Emily!

Leaving Nina and Emily, so Emily does what she thinks is the most dignified (I guess) and walks off before he can choose Nina….. and Sam doesn’t go after her.
But Ebru does, interestingly no footage is shared.
She states in the car “I’m pretty sure Sam would have given me the (last) rose, but as he sees me as a yo yo, the damage has been done”.
When Ebru is off comforting Emily, Sam rescues poor Nina standing on her own with the statement that the last rose was actually for her. They all have a relieved giggle and we’re then shown the after conversation of the girls (and intruders).
Ebru foolishly makes a comment about the last rose, leaving Nina a little put out. I think Ebru will be next…
Can’t wait to see what Emily has to say in the media in the coming weeks.
My money is on a 2nd date with Heather and more connection with Lana, oh they spoiled it with the trailer. So I won’t for you. EndFragment
