Ep 6 - Groundhog drama

We hear how Sam plans to shake things up whilst he does his work out. I guess they were short of footage?

~ (Ebru discretly looks away from Rachel's breast action)

It’s announced that Ebru gets to go on a 1:1 date with Sam. The limo drives 50 meters up the street when they are told there is a flat tyre. In her very slinky dress Ebru gets stuck in and helps change the tyre.

The announcement comes through that Jacinda also has a 1:1 date but is worried about the prospect of being at the sea and throwing up on Sam.

So now it’s Jacinda’s time to step up at the break down time. Straight up she offers to help Sam, but rightly she’s worried about boobage.

The 3rd groundhog date is announced and none of them want it! Bec is freaking out as the other 2 haven’t returned yet so doesn’t really want to go. At the breakdown she too offers to help and apparently does a good job as well. Go girls!

All 3 girls have a good time on the jet boat ride and all 3 head into the lunch part of hte date pretty high spirited. With the flirty waitress Sam doesn’t mind the girls showing a bit of jelousy. It's then reveleaved that lunch is actually a food challenge.

Cricket salad, duck tongue, chin and chicken feet. All 3 girls have a laugh about the food and have a good time. He also wants to have quality time with each of them so they stay and have a decent conversation.

Sam shares that he loves spending time with Jacinda, she's a fantastic girl is adorable but he’s not sure if there is romantic chemistry. He thinks Ebru is sweet and attractive. It also goes well with Bec.

Bec who was 3rd to go on the date is the first to return and describes the date. Then Jacinda returns shortly (to hugs from the girls - she's popular) and feels some awkwardness.

Most of the others girls thinks its funny. However when they all exchange their stories and discover they have had the same date, Bec is humiled, Jacinda is very upset with Ebru also being a little unhappy.

I’m guessing whilst Sam may have worried about them not enjoying or handling the disaster date well; he wouldn't be expecting what ocmes next...

At the cocktail party Bec uses the words of Sam stepping into the ‘lions den’. Oh Oh! All the other girls are understanding that he wouldn’t have wanted to offend them wiht some even finding it funny (heather & Sarah are screened).

on 1 quiet chat Bec shares with him that she has been hurt in the past and this created all of the things she was afraid of feeling which is why she is upset. He tells her he’s very attracted to her and she is reassured. Also seeing his upset helps her to see him in a positive light.

All the girls are impressed with how he’s handled the ‘fall out’, to the point of being more interested in his compassion and stepping up.

He confesses to us that Jacinda is going to be the hardest conversation to have. She shares her upset and he’s completely honest and tells her that he’s not sure that there is enough there for a relationship.

I’m surprised by her expectation of what the date would be, but also understand that she’s feeling her own groundhog situation, always ending up in the friend zone.

I also get that the other first dates have been ‘amazing’ and even record breaking so disappointment is a little understanding, especially if they feel triggered by feeling they only got the ‘I’m being tested’ date.

What a gentleman, he saves Jacinda from the rose ceremony and lets her discretely depart. Respect Sam.

Everybody is upset – clearly she was liked in the house.

Interesting that Sam doesn’t even return to the party which is unlucky for the others waiting to see him. I’m guessing he was pretty upset and didn’t want to deal with any more female drama.

My picks for the next 1:1 date either Ebru and Bec or Rachael/Emily, the ones that haven’t had first dates yet. (I’m guessing there won’t be any more sharing or efficient use of time).

He might even do a large group date or something nice to cheer them up.
